Techne and GIZ are partnering up once again this year to give the chance to startups ti travel to Germany and explore its ecosystem. If you don't know what happened in 2017 and wondering why you should apply this year, here’s what you missed!
Alex Kovbasko, from enpact basically introduced the winners to the Berlin startup ecosystem. These young fellows got a lot of opportunities, they attended meetings with Carl Wackernagel Investment landscape in Germany with Mali Baum regarding ideas and implementations on how to enter the German market? They met Katka Nagyova the German Technology Entrepreneurship Center (tbc) and hardware.co accelerator. They also got the chance to attend a Growth Hacking workshop by Abdelrahman Wahba.
Bianca Praetorius prepped them up with a training for pitch night in Berlin at one of the leading co-working spaces in Berlin, Betahaus. They presented their startups in 3 minutes and Q& A lasted 7 minutes.
"We attended Techne Summit last year as exhibitors. Through the summit we were given the opportunity to join several pitching competitions, one of which won us a delegation trip to Berlin hosted by GIZ and Enpact. The trip gave us exposure to the startup ecosystem in Berlin, and the insights needed if we were to expand our business there.” said Shehab Elnoury, Chief Brand Officer at Beitify. “We also received pitch training sessions that significantly enhanced our deck and presentation skills. This helped us deliver a more powerful pitch during our Demo Day in the AUC Venture Lab." continued Elnoury.
This year it's going to be even more exciting!
